ASU Basketball: Sun Devils ranked 18th in first AP Poll

On Monday, the Associated Press released its first Top 25 basketball poll. Arizona State came in at 18th, the highest rank for a Pac-12 team. Oregon (20th) and UCLA (22nd) were the only other teams in the conference ranked.

The Sun Devils will have early competition in their season as well. Multiple reports from Monday said that Arizona State will open with second-ranked Baylor at the Empire Classic at Mohegan Sun later in November. The Sun Devils will also have a chance to play third-ranked Villanova at the classic as well.
