The Arizona State Sun Devils and head coach Herm Edwards added their final piece to the 2020 class on Wednesday. Former UNLV commit Jake Ray announced his pledge to the Sun Devils:

Outside of the offers from Arizona State and UNLV, Ray had bids from Boston College, Kansas, Missouri, NC State, Bowling Green, Marshall and a few more. Ray took a visit to Tempe on January 31, a few weeks after his soft commitment to UNLV. He will make the cross country transition from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the famous St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
247Sports has rated Ray as a three-star prospect, while Rivals lists him as a two-star. According to the 247Sports database, it has ranked as the 97th best tight end in the country and 276th best recruit from Florida. New offensive coordinator Zak Hill was the primary recruiter of Ray, which is no shock because of Hill’s involvement of two tight end looks in his offense.
