Best moments of the season:
Richardson had some stellar performances for the Sun Devils in her senior season. From knocking off the Oregon schools in back-to-back games, getting head coach Charli Turner Thorne her 500th win, and finally breaking the school’s all-time assists record.
Richardson put the team on her back in key situations in all of those games, leading a young team to its seventh straight 20-win season. In the Oregon upset, Richardson scored 12 points in the fourth quarter and sealed the win with four straight free-throws. In the Oregon State game, she had 10 points.
In a three-overtime thriller for Turner Thorne’s 500th win, she had a career-high, 24 points. Every time USC scored, Richardson seemed to have an answer. And finally, Richardson broke the school’s all-time assists record (538) in the team’s grueling victory over Washington towards the end of the season.
Richardson would finish her Sun Devil career with 563 assists, marking the most by any ASU basketball player on the men’s or women’s side.
