Best moments of the season:
Aiyuk had one of his best games of the season in a close win against the Washington State Cougars. He had a career-high 196 receiving yards, along with three touchdowns. Aiyuk came up big in the second quarter of the game with an 86-yard house call to cut the Cougars lead to three.
He tied up the game in the fourth quarter with a 40-yard touchdown. Following the win, Aiyuk was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and Mandrake Player of the Week by Herm Edwards and the coaching staff.
One of the most memorable moments of the Sun Devils’ 2019 campaign, though, was their upset against No. 6 Oregon. Aiyuk became a key component of that win with 3:54 left in the game, as he caught an 81-yard pass from freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels to extend the Sun Devil lead to 10 and help ice the game away.
Just seconds before, the crowd was booing Daniels after he got sacked for a loss of seven yards on their own 19-yard line.
The catch by Aiyuk on a 3rd-and-16 flipped the energy in the stadium completely as the Sun Devils upset the Ducks to shatter their College Football Playoff aspirations. Aiyuk ended the game with 161 receiving yards.
