Arizona State has landed some help in the special teams department to replace former punter Michael Turk, who declared for the NFL Draft this offseason.
Former Florida State punter Logan Tyler announced that he would be making a graduate transfer to ASU earlier today. He is immediately eligible.

The left-footed punter ranks third in Florida State history with 209 career punts. He broke an FSU record for boots in a single season in 2018-19 with 82 in one year, and he also ranks second all-time in Seminole history with 8,879 punt yards, and fourth with 42.5 yards-per-punt.
Tyler was named to the 2017 Ray Guy Award Watchlist, which goes out to the top collegiate punter in the country.
As a freshman, he was also number one in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in yards-per-kick, as he averaged 64.1 yards for every blast from his left leg.
Tyler has experience with kickoffs as well, and it’s plausible that he will take over the role next season.
Last year, Tyler only played in one game after a violation of team rules in September. He then entered the transfer portal.
On Nov. 15, Tyler was arrested after a three-month DUI investigation in Tallahassee that he was involved in during a scooter accident.
The incident occurred on August 22 when Tallahassee police found an unresponsive man who had crashed, with that man being Tyler, according to an article in USA Today that released the details of the situation.
Now with a fresh start at ASU, the former Seminole punter will look to make an immediate impact as the newest member of special teams for the Sun Devils.
