ASU Football: Defensive end Ky Montgomery lists Sun Devils in top six

2021 weak side defensive end Ky Montgomery is considering Arizona State and has the Sun Devils listed in his top six schools. Montgomery is listed as a three-star on 247Sports, and a four-star on Rivals.

The other programs on Montgomery’s radar include Penn State, Minnesota, Purdue, Missouri, and Boston College.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound edge rusher’s recruitment has been led by new ASU defensive line coach Robert Rodriguez, who joined the staff in February after coming over from the Minnesota Vikings.

The d-end attends Pike High School in Indianapolis and over the past two seasons, he has accumulated 150 total tackles, including 39 solo tackles while averaging 7.9 tackles per game.

Montgomery also had 22 tackles for loss as a junior in 2019-20, increasing his total by 19 compared to his sophomore season. Additionally, Montgomery is a two-sport athlete, playing basketball in the winter time.
