ASU Football: Philadelphia defensive end Shawn Williams joins 2021 recruiting class

The Arizona State Sun Devils’ 2021 recruiting class grew up Tuesday night. Shawn Williams from Philadelphia became the fourth commit of the class. He joins Finn Collins (QB), Jaydon Williams (OLB) and Caleb Banks (DE).

Williams comes it at 6-foo-4 and 260 pounds to play the strong-side defensive end. He also held offers Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Toledo and more. The Sun Devils were the first and currently only Power Five team to offer a scholarship to Williams.

He is currently rated a three-star by Rivals and a two-star by 247Sports. The Sun Devils are also pursuing Williams’ Imhotep Institute teammate, three-star defensive tackle Taleeq Robbins.
