ASU Basketball: Sun Devils set up home and home with GCU for the next two seasons

It’s finally happening

The time has finally come. Arizona State and Grand Canyon will play one another on the court as Division I teams the schools announced on Friday. The Lopes will be the first host as the Sun Devils will make the bus trip over on Sunday, Dec. 13. Arizona State then hosts at Desert Financial Arena in December of 2021.

Here are quotes from each coach about the series from the press release:

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to play a series with Arizona State. Bobby has built one of the better programs in the country, and this will be a series that the Phoenix area will be very excited for.” — GCU first-year Head Coach Bryce Drew.

“We look forward to starting a series at Grand Canyon this season,” says Sun Devil head coach Bobby Hurley. “Bryce Drew and his family are well-known in the college basketball world and as we welcome them to the Valley, it made sense to have an efficient home-and-home with his program.”
