27 Arizona State football players are set to return for voluntary workouts this upcoming Monday, June 15.

The players will be in three groups of nine, and included in the workouts will be quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Prior to starting the festivities, there will also be a number of health and safety protocols. All 27 players have been administered Coronavirus tests, and the results are pending over the next 48 hours. They should however, be finished prior to the start of Monday’s activities.

Players must test negative in order to participate and they also must wear a mask or face-covering. Furthermore, players will be monitored and asked who they interact and come in contact with on a daily basis in the event that an athlete tests positive.

Although there are only 27 players in attendance at the moment, the goal for Sun Devil Athletics is to have all scholarship players who test negative at the facility by June 29.

As for the actual football season and whether it will be played, that verdict is still to be determined over the next few months. Though, the thoughts are hopeful considering the NCAA football oversight committee passed on a preseason practice schedule earlier this week.
