The Sun Devils were never going to find a way to replace the production of Spencer Torkelson, the first overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. Although on Monday they found a pretty good solution for the vacated spot at first base.
Conor Davis from Auburn announced on his Instagram on Monday that he will be spending his final season at Arizona State. Davis will be a grad transfer as he was one of the spring student athletes who received another year of eligibility due to the shortened season.
Davis started all 18 games this past season at first base hitting .339, three home runs and 14 RBIs. He has also spent time in left field and the designated hitter position. Over his career at Auburn, Davis has hit 40 doubles, 14 home runs, drove in 113 runs.
