Herm Edwards and the Arizona State Sun Devils landed their second offensive linemen of the 2021 class on Tuesday. After Isaiah World made his pledge on Sunday, Arizona State received one from Manatee High School’s Charles Armstrong in Bradenton, Fla. Sun Devil Source was the first to report about Armstrong’s commitment.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Armstrong follows the mold of Antonio Pierce’s plan to recruit bigger players especially in the trenches. 247Sports and Rivals rank Armstrong as a three-star recruit but differ on his position with 247Sports listing him as a tackle opposed to Rival’s guard placement. 247Sports puts Armstrong as the 1298th prospect in the nation, 111th at the tackle position and 173rd in the state of Florida.

Unlike a few other commits of Arizona State’s current class, Armstrong held offers from plenty other Power Five schools such as Pitt, Iowa State, Georgia, South Carolina, Utah, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Minnesota and a few others.

Armstrong’s junior season highlights are below:

The seven other current commits of Arizona State’s class:

Finn Collins (QB)

Jaydon Williams (OLB)

Caleb Banks (DE)

Kamron Beachem (ATH)

Garrett Gillette (TE)

Isaiah Pipkins (OLB)
