Herm Edwards, Antonio Pierce and the Arizona State Sun Devils continue to make waves in the 2021 class. Martin Lucas from Abingdon High School in Virginia made his pledge to the Sun Devils on Friday.

Rivals lists Lucas as a three-star athlete, he currently is unrated by 247Sports and is listed as a running back. Lucas’ size is what makes him interesting as his 6-foot-4, 250-pound frame doesn’t scream running back to most people. That seems to be the thing that interests the Sun Devils the most.
Lucas wasn’t regarded by a ton of Power Five schools as Arizona State was the only one to offer. He also had interest in Coastal Carolina, Marshall and Villanova.
