The top of the class

The Arizona State Sun Devils appear to have landed the cherry on top to its already solid 2021 recruiting class. Isaiah Johnson, a top-100 player in both 247Sports and Rivals national rankings, tweeted out his pledge on Monday night.

Johnson is a four-star cornerback by each recruiting service. 247Sports has him as its 78th overall player, sixth at the cornerback position and 10th in California. Rivals puts him as its 95th player nationally, 8th at the position and top player in California.

The 6-foot-2, 180 pound Johnson is originally from West Virginia but plays in California at St. Bernard High School.

He cut his five options down in July to Arizona State, USC, LSU, Georgia and Oklahoma. He also held offers from Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Miami, NC State, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.
