Melvin Jordan, a 2022 four-star inside-linebacker prospect, listed the Sun Devils in his final 10 in a Twitter announcement Sunday morning. Arizona State and Oregon State were the only two PAC-12 schools to make the cut. Miami, Pitt, West Virginia, Florida State, Illinois, South Carolina, Florida and Indiana also made the cut. Jordan was once committed to Florida State before decommitting in March.

The 6-foot-0 Florida product has shown beastly stretches in High School games and at prominent prospect camps in the past year, and will have more time to showcase his skills for Calvary Christian H.S. in Clearwater Florida this season in his junior campaign.
While this isn’t a final commitment, it is another promising development in the recruiting success of Herm Edwards and his staff. Jordan would also be one of the first big time Linebacker prospects the current staff has landed.
