The Arizona State Women’s basketball team announced today that its next two games will be postponed due to COVID-19.

The Sun Devils were scheduled to play Friday against Oregon State and Sunday against No. 10 Oregon. Here is the official statement from the school:

“Due to recent COVID-19 developments within our program, the Arizona State women’s basketball team’s home games vs. Oregon State (scheduled for Fri., Jan. 15) and vs. No. 10 Oregon (scheduled for Sun., Jan. 17) have been postponed. The Pac-12 Conference will work with the programs to attempt to find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule the contests.

The Sun Devils (7-3, 3-3 Pac-12) were last in action on Jan. 3 when they lost to top-ranked Stanford 68-60, a contest in which ASU – despite missing two key players – became the first squad to come within single-digits of Stanford this season as it held the Cardinal nearly 20 points below its scoring average. Last month, the Sun Devils nearly upset then-No. 9 (currently No. 8) UCLA, falling to the Bruins by only four points, 63-59.”

This announcement comes after the games scheduled for Jan. 8 and Jan. 10 against Washington State and Washington were also postponed.
