The Arizona State Sun Devils and Arizona Wildcats will be playing a home-and-home basketball series this upcoming week.
January 21’s matchup was already set for a 7 p.m. MT tip at Desert Financial Arena on ESPN. Now, the teams will also play on January 25 at the McKale Center in Tucson. That game was previously schedule for March 6. It’ll now tip at 9 p.m. MT and can be seen on ESPN2.
Arizona State has had four conference games postponed this season, and despite talks of trying to reschedule this week, it didn’t work out.
The schedule change creates an opening for the Sun Devils to fit more games after their February 27 game against Washington State and before the Pac-12 tournament starts on March 10.
Hate week for Sun Devil fans lasts longer this basketball season. The added flexibility should also give Arizona State the opportunity to get those lost games in one way or another.
