No. 22 Arizona State kept it rolling with its fifth straight victory on Friday afternoon, as the Sun Devils went on the road and took down San Diego (2-1).
The Sun Devils had singles victories from Andrea Bolla, Makey Rakotomalala, Christian Lerby and Tim Ruehl. The doubles pair of Nathan Ponwith and and George Stoupe are also still perfect in 2021.
Although ASU dropped the doubles point, they responded in singles, and the group has yet to give up more than two points in the last five matchups. Ruehl clinched the victory for the Sun Devils with a 7-5, 6-4 win to extend the team’s hot streak.
Since Sunday’s matchup with TCU was canceled, the Sun Devils will now prepare for their next outing at home against Oregon to begin Pac-12 play. Here’s a look at the rest of the results from Friday in America’s finest city:
