Herm Edwards and company have put in the work in Nebraska it appears. On Saturday, Deshawn Woods and Devon Jackson, the top two recruits in the 2022 class according to 247Sports, each listed Arizona State in their top five choices.
Woods, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive lineman is rated as a four-star offensive lineman by 247Sports and Rivals. 247Sports lists him as the top recruit from Nebraska, third best offensive guard in the nation, and he’s ranked as the 101st top prospect nationally.
He put Missouri, Texas A&M, Florida and Miami in his top five along with ASU.
Weighing in at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, Jackson plays outside linebacker. He too is listed as a four-star in the 2022 class by 247Sports and Rivals.
247Sports has him as the second best recruit from the state, 11th at his position and 137th overall across the nation. Jackson had a similar list to Woods as he also included ASU, Texas A&M and Miami. Notre Dame and Oklahoma were on Jackson’s list as well.
In a report from Sun Devil Source, the pair who play at separate schools in Omaha, have talked about playing in college together. That’d certainly help the Sun Devils as they’ve certainly made an impression on those two.
