Following a tough weekend in the Bay Area, Arizona State women’s tennis (10-5) returned home and took care of business on Wednesday. The 31st-ranked Sun Devils beat New Mexico State (3-7) 7-0 at Whitman Tennis Center.

Sammi Hampton and Marianna Argyrokastriti couldn’t have started the day better after a 6-0 win in their doubles match. The Sun Devils clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory from Domenika Turkovic and Tereza Kolarova.

The Aggies forfeited court six, giving Arizona State a two-point advantage. It didn’t really matter as each Sun Devil won their match and did it in two sets. It was impressive all around for the home team. Cali Jankowski didn’t drop a point, IIze Hattingh and Hampton only allowed their opponents two points each. Domenika Turkovic’s match was the closest, she won 6-2 in each set and exhibited Arizona State’s dominance.

The Sun Devils continue their five-game homestead on April 2 and 3 when they host UCLA and No. 38 USC.
