Arizona State women’s golf wrapped up the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif. on Wednesday. The Sun Devils, without Olivia Mehaffey and Linn Grant, finished tied for fourth place at +22. USC won the event with a -2 score.
As Mehaffey and Grant completed at Augusta National Women’s Amateur earlier in the week, Alessandra Fanali led the Sun Devils in California. She finished the tournament at even par, which was good enough for sixth place as an individual.
Alexandra Forsterling wasn’t too far behind her. The junior from Germany ranked tied for eighth on the leaderboard following a +2 performance.
Rounding out the group, Ashley Menne placed 31st, Amanda Linner was 38th, and Breyana Matthews, who got 63rd. Matthews showed off a few quality moments in her first tournament action.
The Pac-12 Championships, hosted by Stanford, will be the Sun Devils next event. That will start on April 23 with the NCAA Regionals following it, starting on May 10. Mehaffey is the reigning Pac-12 Individual Champion.
