Arizona State soccer’s (8-3-2, 4-2-2 Pac-12) had its most disappointing result of the season on Friday. Utah (3-8-3, 2-5-2) hadn’t won a game in six contests, but Kaylee Coatney’s 27th minute goal was enough to beat the Sun Devils 1-0.
“Tonight was not one of our better performances...We unfortunately did not show the level that we have for most of the season,” Arizona State coach Graham Winkworth told Sun Devil Athletics. “The team is disappointed. We are all disappointed.”
Utah deserved a tip of the hat on its lone goal. Courtney Talbot flicked the ball from the corner kick directly to Coatney for a close header.

Arizona State didn’t have much of an attack for the first 70 minutes. The Sun Devils had five shots on goal and forced Utah keeper SJ Edwards to work, but most of it didn’t come until the final 16 minutes.
ASU heads to its final road game on Sunday against Colorado at noon local time.
