During Darby’s 2020 campaign, he caught six passes for 46 yards and a score. Over his four-year career at Arizona State, he finished with 67 receptions, 1317 yards and 13 touchdowns as a deep threat for Herm Edwards and the Sun Devil offense.
Perhaps his best performance was in the Sun Devils 2019 upset win over Oregon, when Darby had 125 yards receiving and two scores to help lead the charge past Justin Herbert and the Ducks.
Whether it was his obsession with sweet tea that was featured on HBO’s 24/7 series covering Arizona State, or his contagious energy on the sidelines or in practice, Darby, the New Jersey native, was certainly a fan favorite over his time in Tempe.
He’ll look to bring that same attitude and energy to Atlanta as he embarks on his next step of playing for the Falcons.
