Arizona State women’s golf finishes strong at Columbus Regional, qualifies for NCAA Championship

Arizona State women’s golf will protect its home turf at Scottsdale’s Grayhawk Golf Club on May 21-26 for the NCAA Championships.

The Sun Devils finished strong on Wednesday at the Columbus Regional, having their best round of the tournament.

Behind Linn Grant’s -2 third round, Arizona State as a team went an even par in round three. The Sun Devils finished the the regional at +16, placing tied for second.

Grant ended the tournament tied for second as an individual as well at -1. Olivia Mehaffey and Ashley Menne each ended the tournament tied for 17th place at +5.

All three shot under par on Wednesday to help secure that spot in the championship. Alessandra Fanali and Amanda Linner placed 43rd and 45th on the individual leaderboard.

Joining ASU in the top six and also heading to Grayhawk Golf Club will be Duke, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan and Kent State.
