PGA: U.S. Open - Final Round Michael Madrid-USA TODAY Sports

Weeks ago, everyone felt for Jon Rahm after he was forced to withdraw from the Memorial Tournament with a six-shot lead after he tested positive for COVID-19. Rahm’s return couldn’t be any better.

Rahm took home his first major tournament victory at Torrey Pines, winning the U.S. Open. He finished the tournament at -6 with a final round of 67, including this final putt on the 18th hole on Sunday.

The putt put Rahm in the lead as he headed into the clubhouse. It also put the pressure on Louis Oosthuizen, who finished second, one shot behind Rahm.

Rahm then saved his best for last, going -4 on Sunday, having birdied the 17th and 18th holes. He also had birdies on the first, second and ninth holes.

The former Arizona State golfer spent his first father’s day winning his first major championship with his son and wife, Kelley, and his parents in the crowd.

This means that two Sun Devils now have the last two major championships with Phil Mickelson’s PGA Championship win in May.
