Smith will attend Chandler’s Compass Prep in the fall, which recently fell in the semifinals of the GEICO National High School basketball championship back in April. However, the 6-foot-8, 200-pound high schooler is originally from Dallas, Texas. Smith averaged 21.0 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 6.5 APG, 3.0 SPG, and 2.0 BPG at St. Mark’s in Texas during the 2020-2021 high school season.
247Sports rates Smith as its 117th nationally ranked recruit. He is also seen as 20th best power forward and fifth ranked recruit in the state of Arizona.

The Sun Devils currently don’t have commits in the 2022 class. Bobby Hurley and company had a big class of recruits in 2021 and a handful of transfers. Nevertheless, Smith would probably bring more star power and more size in the front court which Arizona State was certainly lacking last season for stretches.
