The Josh Christopher story didn’t go as most fans imagined it would during his time at Arizona State. Nevertheless, the talented wing did enjoy representing the Maroon and Gold (seen through his tweets), and now will continue that pride into the NBA.
Christopher, who only played one season in Tempe, was the 24th pick of Thursday’s NBA Draft and will be headed to the Houston Rockets.

An injury limited Christopher to 15 games as a Sun Devil and ultimately forcing him to miss the final 11 games of the season. In those games, the former five-star recruit did average 14.3 points per game including a season-high 28 points versus Villanova.
The 2020-21 season was full of things that simply went wrong for Arizona State men’s basketball. Christopher moves onto the next chapter of his career, but much like a fellow Sun Devil that wore number 13, he has a chance to make people ask, “where did that guy go to school?” And that’s something to remember about the 2020-21 season for the Sun Devils.
