People must really enjoy watching Jayden Daniels play football. After being named to the preseason Pac-12 second team as well as the Maxwell and Davey O’Brien award watch lists, the Arizona State quarterback has also been listed on the Walter Camp Award watch list, which is given to the National Player of the Year.
As talked about most of the preseason, Daniels has a lot in place for him to take another step in his development. The talent has flashed on multiple occasions throughout his still short Sun Devil career.
The biggest step that should propel Daniels into stardom and putting him in range to be a finalist for these types of awards is becoming a more efficient passer, which isn’t solely on himself. Another year in Zak Hill’s offense, the young wide receiver group gaining a true offseason to grow and the offensive line most likely being better with more experience together.
The Sun Devils start their camp on August 4.
