Arizona State fans aren’t enjoying its Monday morning. In the latest news involving the NCAA Investigation, Yahoo’s Pete Thamel reported (other outlets later reported it as well) that defensive backs coach Chris Hawkins and wide receiver coach Prentice Gill are on administrative leave.

Hawkins and Gill now join tight ends coach Adam Breneman, who was already on paid leave. The young trio were sought out by Antonio Pierce for their ability to recruit well as all three have made a major in the Sun Devils’ recruiting.

Arizona State is now without three of its position coaches less than a month out from its first game. This probably makes the most impact on the wide receiver room that needs to take a big step in development for the offense to take the strides it wants.

Sun Devil Source reported that there is an expectation from its sources graduate assistant Bobby Wade to coach WRs, analyst Trey Anderson to work with QBs so that OC/QB coach Zak Hill can also work with WRs, and consultant Donnie Henderson will coach the secondary.
