No drama on Saturday for Arizona State volleyball (6-3). The Sun Devils finished the Lumberjack Classic weekend sweeping UC Davis (3-6) 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-20).
The Sun Devils hit at an efficient rate against the Aggies. Iman Isanovic, Claire Jeter, Roberta Rabelo and Marta Levinska all had at least eight kills and hit at above a .200 percentage. Jeter delivered her 10 kills at a staggering .600 hitting percentage.
Beatrice Badini continued her solid weekend. She blocked a team-high five attacks in the win and added three kills. Arizona State’s biggest question headed into season was the middle blocker position. It appears that the combination of freshman Andi Kreiling, transfers Jeter and Badini have solidified that for the Sun Devils early.
All weekend, Shannon Shields and Ella Snyder shared the setter role. The pair combined for 19 assists.
The Sun Devils return home next week for their final two non-conference slates. They’ll host Pacific (Sept 16, 6:00 p.m. local time) and UNLV (Sept. 18, 5:00 p.m. local time).
