Despite Trenton Bourguet's impressive performance with 344 passing yards and a solid defensive effort that kept California's total offense under 350 yards, the Sun Devil Football team fell short in their first away game of the season, losing 24-21 on Saturday. Bourguet, making his second start of the season and his first full game since the previous season, completed 63 percent of his passes (26-of-41) and showcased his versatility with a rushing touchdown and an 18-yard reception. Cam Skattebo continued to shine in various aspects of the game, catching four passes for 98 yards, gaining 59 yards and scoring a rushing touchdown on the ground, and completing a pass for 18 yards. Elijhah Badger contributed with 75 receiving yards, a two-point conversion, and an impressive 128 yards on kickoff returns, ending the game with a total of 203 all-purpose yards.
